Violet Flowering — A Hidden Scene Purple Chalcedony Pendant Necklace in Sterling Silver

I wished to name this piece after a wispy flowering plant in my yard, but I’ve yet to learn the name of it. Suppose I could take the easy way out and use a plant app to identify it, but naaaah. I’ll figure it out the old fashioned way… by asking a dozen different people before finding out.

Many times the longer way is the preferred way, for me anyway.

This Purple Chalcedony Hidden Scenes Pendant offers a flowery view when you hold it up to the light. Please note the pattern inside does not shine though uniformly when held up to the light, because this Purple Chaldedony is natural, and thus has lighter areas of purple, as well as darker areas.

This stone has been wrapped in fine silver and set on sterling with a hand-sawed scene, as my other Hidden Scene Pieces.

Hanging from an oversized sterling ring bail, the short and long textured sterling chain loops through 3 rings and finishes with a toggle clasp. - This chain can be switched out for one of your own.

This pendant measures 2.5 inches from top to bottom and the widest point is 1.1 inches. The chain which it hangs from is approximately 19 inches.

This is handmade and one of a kind. I have created this in an eco-friendly manner — from hand with no harsh jewelers chemicals and no power tools. 

The old fashioned way, using recycled silver.

Thus, it has taken me a considerable amount of time compared to using other modern jewelry techniques. Therefore, file marks, as well as asymmetries are all part of the hand-fashioned process.
