Secret Garden — A Plume Petrified Wood and Serpentine Necklace in Sterling Silver and Brass

Petrified Plume Woods. This particular specimen has a phenomenal cross section that just creates so much visual interest. A hidden Secret Garden inside.

Wrapped in Brass, this piece has been backed on Sterling Silver and has a twig style Sterling bail hanger that wraps partially around the stone and holds a small Serpentine close in its branches.

Measurements:

Pendant Diameter including bail — 1.4 inches

Chain Length — 20.5 inches. Sterling Silver bar and link style chain. This chain clasps on the side with an oversized sterling oval clasp to a gold filled link. This chain can not be switched out and is fixed to the pendant.

This is handmade and one of a kind. I have created this in an eco-friendly manner — from hand with no harsh jewelers chemicals and no power tools. 

The old fashioned way, using recycled silver.

Thus, it has taken me a considerable amount of time compared to using other modern jewelry techniques. Therefore, file marks, as well as asymmetries are all part of the hand-fashioned process.
