Eternal Sunflower — A Dendritic Agate and Tourmaline Pendant Necklace in Oxidized Sterling Silver and 14kt Gold

This Sunflower. 

I’ve had this pendant laying around needing reconfiguring for years now. Waiting for the right moment. It’s been in my collection in my drawer so long that I made it BEFORE I had my signature Green Bee Studio Beehive Recycle logo stamp, therefore this is hand-signed with my initials.

This Flowery Patterned Dendritic Agate Specimen has been wrapped in fine silver and set upon sterling, and then oxidized, using a natural non/toxic time consuming method. Which offers an array of deep smokey hues. A “golden stem” peers out from behind the bloom, and a light green tourmaline “leaf” and 14kt gold accent flanks the main stone. Hand textured detailing surrounds the pendant.

This pendant measures approximately 1.5 inches from top to bottom and 1.2 inches across. The alternating oxidized Sterling link and gold filled oval chain is about 19 inches long. It finishes in the front with an oversized bright sterling silver circle ring clasp.

As reminder, please no swimming, bathing or heavy exercise with this necklace. Please no polishing or buffing as that will remove its lovely oxidation. — In addition, please no submerging this pendant in liquid, as it cloudiness will form behind the stone over time.

Please note because I use an environmentally friendly, and old style of oxidation, the dark oxidation colors may and will be uneven. Rather than a solid color, many deep colors come out in this process such as cobalt blues, deep purples and stormy grays. — All another benefit of using non-harsh patina techniques, you get a true oxidization effect.
