Lava Pools — A Moroccan Seam Agate Swirl Ring in Oxidized Sterling Silver — Size 8 1/2 to 9

Instead of taking a swim in the Deep Blue Sea, perhaps you want to try dipping your toe in Pools of Bubbling Lava.

This surprisingly patterned Moroccan Seam Agate brings Bubbly Orbs to the surface, really displaying a show in different forms of light.

Wrapped in Fine Silver and Placed on Sterling. The rounded style swirling band is attached only on one end, thus making this ring have some flexibility in the sizing.

This ring was then oxidized using a time consuming non-toxic method, one that offers not a uniform, but varying degrees of dark and smoky hues. I strive to create my oxidized pieces to come as close as possible to looking as if they were truly oxidized over a long period of time.

As a reminder, because this stone is transparent please do not submerge in liquid, as a cloudiness will form over time behind the stone.

This is handmade and one of a kind. I have created this in an eco-friendly manner — from hand with no harsh jewelers chemicals and no power tools.

Thus, it has taken me a considerable amount of time compared to using other modern jewelry techniques. Therefore, file marks, as well as asymmetries are all part of the hand-fashioned process.
