Blustery Beach Day — A Landscape Jasper Pendant Necklace in Oxidized Sterling Silver

Landscape: Snow Dusted Frozen Sand Dunes.

As soon as I saw this Petrified Wood pattern, I couldn’t unsee its marvelous frozen tundra.

Kept simply in fine and sterling silver, then oxidized.  The silver has been naturally oxidized using a non-harsh method which does not involve the use of traditional jewelers chemicals.

An 18 inch oxidized cable chain and hand formed hook clasp which fastens in the front, finishes the piece. Please note this chain is fixed to the pendant and can not be removed.

This stone measures 1.65 inches long by 1.15 inches wide.

This piece is handmade and one of a kind. I have created this in an eco-friendly manner using recycled silver — from hand with no harsh jewelers chemicals and no power tools.

Thus, it has taken me a considerable amount of time compared to using other modern jewelry techniques. Therefore, file marks, as well as asymmetries are all part of the hand-fashioned process.
