Mystic Vortex — A Druzy Maligano Jasper Pendant Necklace in Oxidized Sterling Silver

As if being drawn into some Mysterious and Mystical Vortex, this Maligano Jasper Druzy seems to Twinkle from the Inside.

Wrapped in Fine Silver and set on Open Back Sterling, this piece has ties of sterling that create prongs on the front side.

This pendant and chain have been oxidized using a time consuming non-toxic method, one that offers not a uniform, but varying degrees of dark and smoky hues. I strive to create my oxidized pieces to come as close as possible to looking as if they were truly oxidized over an extended period of time.

Measurements:

Pendant Width — 1.15 inches

Pendant Height including Bail — 1.25 inches

Chain Length — 18 inches. Sterling Silver Oxidized Cable Chain with Sterling oblong lobster clasp. This chain can not be switched out and is fixed to the pendant.

This is handmade and one of a kind. I have created this in an eco-friendly manner — from hand with no harsh jewelers chemicals and no power tools. 

The old fashioned way, using recycled silver.

Thus, it has taken me a considerable amount of time compared to using other modern jewelry techniques. Therefore, file marks, as well as asymmetries are all part of the hand-fashioned process.
