Cardinal Feather — A Fossilized Coral Ring in Oxidized Sterling Silver and 14kt Gold — Size 8 1/2

Fossilized Coral. Nature’s Original “Stained Glass”.

This Specimen was wrapped in a Gold Filled Bezel and set on Sterling backplate and then Oxidized. A 14kt Gold Accent Piece flanks the side of the ring.

This ring has been oxidized using a time consuming non-toxic method, one that offers not a uniform, but varying degrees of dark and smoky hues. I strive to create my oxidized pieces to come as close as possible to looking as if they were truly oxidized over a long period of time.

This is handmade and one of a kind. I have created this in an eco-friendly manner — from hand with no harsh jewelers chemicals and no power tools. 

The old fashioned way, using recycled silver.

Thus, it has taken me a considerable amount of time compared to using other modern jewelry techniques. Therefore, file marks, as well as asymmetries are all part of the hand-fashioned process.

As a reminder please do not submerge this ring in liquid, as it will effect the oxidation.
