Sugar Maples — A Pair of Plume Opalized Petrified Wood Dangle Earrings in Oxidized Sterling Silver

Aptly named “Sugar Maples”, if you look deep within the plume patterns in these Petrified Woods you may see these brilliant Maple Trees.

Wrapped In fine silver and set on hand textured sterling, this pair has been oxidized using a natural method.

Because I use an environmentally friendly, and old style of oxidation, the dark oxidation colors may and will be uneven. Rather than a solid color, many deep colors come out in this process such as cobalt blues, deep purples and stormy grays. — All another benefit of using non-harsh patina techniques, you get a true oxidization effect.

These stones have an approximate length of 1.3 inches by 0.65 inches wide. The total front length of the earring is 2.05 inches. The total length of the ear wire in the back is 2.5 inches.

These earrings incorporate recycled silver, as my other pieces and were completed by my hand, using no power tools or harsh chemicals in the process.
