Eye of the Beholder — A Petrified Wood Ring in Sterling Silver and 14kt Gold — Size 6 3/4

The Eye; considered a sacred symbol of protection in some cultures. This one, I noticed straight away peering at me, through this natural Petrified Wood Opal.

Wrapped in thick gauge fine silver and set on a sterling backplate, the face of this ring is approximately 0.75 inches in diameter. Sold 14kt Gold accents flank the top of the eye as if they were eyelashes.

The wide sterling silver concave band is approximately 0.4 inches wide and would best fit a size 6 3/4.

This is handmade and one of a kind. I have created this in an eco-friendly manner — from hand with no harsh jewelers chemicals and no power tools. 

The old fashioned way, using recycled silver.

Thus, it has taken me a considerable amount of time compared to using other modern jewelry techniques. Therefore, file marks, as well as asymmetries are all part of the hand-fashioned process.
