Salem Mystic — A Dendritic Agate and Amethyst Satellite Ring in Oxidized Sterling Silver — Size 8 1/2 to 9

I lived in Salem Massachusetts for many years. Nothing quite inspires mystique like that city this time of year.

Wrapped in Fine Silver and Backed on Sterling. Set on a rounded hand-formed sterling silver open shank “Satellite” style band.

This has been oxidized using a time consuming non-toxic method, one that offers not a uniform, but varying degrees of dark and smoky hues. I strive to create my oxidized pieces to come as close as possible to looking as if they were truly oxidized over a long period of time.

Face of Ring Width — Approximately 0.9 inches

Face of Ring Height — Approximately 0.9 inches

Ring Band Size — 8 1/2 to 9, as this band has some adjustability to it

This is handmade and one of a kind. I have created this in an eco-friendly manner — from hand with no harsh jewelers chemicals and no power tools. 

The old fashioned way, using recycled silver.

Thus, it has taken me a considerable amount of time compared to using other modern jewelry techniques. Therefore, file marks, as well as asymmetries are all part of the hand-fashioned process.

Please remember not to submerge this in liquid as it will cause cloudiness to form behind the stones over time.
