Leaf Pile — A Dendritic Agate and Serpentine Pendant Necklace in Oxidized Sterling Silver

Recycled silver that’s been hand textured and darkened to bring out the webbing patterns imprinted in the metal. This Dendritic Agate has been accentuated with a small Serpentine stone. I like to imagine that the non-uniformity of it all is simply an autumn pile of leaves.

This pendant has been oxidized using a time consuming non-toxic method, one that offers not a uniform, but varying degrees of dark and smoky hues. I strive to create my oxidized pieces to come as close as possible to looking as if they were truly oxidized over a long period of time.

Measurements:

Pendant Width — 0.75 inches

Pendant Height — 1.15 inches

Chain Length — 18 inches. Shiny Sterling Silver Cable style with sterling oblong lobster clasp in the back. This chain is fixed to the pendant and can not be switched out.

This is handmade and one of a kind. I have created this in an eco-friendly manner — from hand with no harsh jewelers chemicals and no power tools. 

The old fashioned way, using recycled silver.

Thus, it has taken me a considerable amount of time compared to using other modern jewelry techniques. Therefore, file marks, as well as asymmetries are all part of the hand-fashioned process.
