Golden Rays — A Sonoran Dendritic Rhyolite Pendant Necklace in Oxidized Silver and Gold

You know when the Golden Sunlight beams through the trees in the morning and scatters all over the ground?

This Sonoran Dendritic Ryolite brings all those feels to this piece. A Pendant, wrapped Fine Silver and set on Sterling and then Oxidized using a Natural Method. 24kt Gold Foils have been infused around the surround on the stone, to enhance the warm tones.

This pendant has been oxidized using a time consuming non-toxic method, one that offers not a uniform, but varying degrees of dark and smoky hues. I strive to create my oxidized pieces to come as close as possible to looking as if they were truly oxidized over a long period of time.

Measurements:

Pendant Width — 1.2 inches

Pendant Height — 1.25 inches (including bail)

Chain Length — 19 inches. Bar and Link style chain in Oxidized Sterling Silver. This chain is fixed to the pendant and can not be switched out.

This is handmade and one of a kind. I have created this in an eco-friendly manner — from hand with no harsh jewelers chemicals and no power tools. 

The old fashioned way, using recycled silver.

Thus, it has taken me a considerable amount of time compared to using other modern jewelry techniques. Therefore, file marks, as well as asymmetries are all part of the hand-fashioned process.
