Cranberry Bog Ring — A Plume Agate Statement Ring in Oxidized Sterling Silver — Size 9 1/4

Like a Mood Ring. … Well, sort of.

This Plume Agate Ring changes color as the light hits it. And She’s a Biggun! 

Set in a bezel of Fine Silver and Set on a Textured backplate of Sterling, this piece has twig-like sterling prongs flanked to one side.

The hand fashioned concave Sterling silver band has been lightly textured around the middle.

This ring was then oxidized using a time consuming non-toxic method, one that offers not a uniform, but varying degrees of dark and smoky hues. I strive to create my oxidized pieces to come as close as possible to looking as if they were truly oxidized over a long period of time.

As a reminder, because this stone is transparent please do not submerge in liquid, as a cloudiness will form over time behind the stone.

This is handmade and one of a kind. I have created this in an eco-friendly manner — from hand with no harsh jewelers chemicals and no power tools.

Thus, it has taken me a considerable amount of time compared to using other modern jewelry techniques. Therefore, file marks, as well as asymmetries are all part of the hand-fashioned process.
