Pear-fectly Sweet — A Druzy Agate Pendant Necklace in Sterling Silver

These Druzy Agates begged for something “Spring-like”. A Pear was my vision with this piece. Wrapped in Sterling Silver and Hand detailed sterling silver surrounds, this piece is represents the beauty of a cross section of a pear. Fine silver accents complete the stems and seeds.

The face of the pendant is about 1.9 inches tall including the bail, by about 1.2 inches wide. It hangs from an 18 inch shiny sterling silver oblong oval cable chain and fastens with a lobster clasp. The wide handmade bail in the back allows for this chain to be removed should you wish to add one of your own.

This piece is handmade and one of a kind. I have created this in an eco-friendly manner using recycled silver — from hand with no harsh jewelers chemicals and no power tools.

Thus, it has taken me a considerable amount of time compared to using other modern jewelry techniques. Therefore, file marks, as well as asymmetries are all part of the hand-fashioned process.

Do not submerge this necklace in liquid, as a haziness will form over time behind the stones.
