Shoreline Drops — A Pair of British Columbia Ocean Picture Jasper Drop Earrings in Oxidized Sterling Silver

The sun-kissed waves crashing against the shore; just miniaturized for the beholder.

These British Columbia Ocean Picture Jaspers have been wrapped in fine silver and set on Sterling and then oxidized. Hand formed sterling ear wires complete this pair.

These earring have been oxidized using a time consuming non-toxic method, one that offers not a uniform, but varying degrees of dark and smoky hues. I strive to create my oxidized pieces to come as close as possible to looking as if they were truly oxidized over a long period of time.

Stone Width — 0.5 inches

Drop Length in Front — 1.5 inches

Length in the Back — 2.3 inches

Weight per Earring — 4.5 grams

This is handmade and one of a kind. I have created this in an eco-friendly manner — from hand with no harsh jewelers chemicals and no power tools. 

The old fashioned way, using recycled silver.

Thus, it has taken me a considerable amount of time compared to using other modern jewelry techniques. Therefore, file marks, as well as asymmetries are all part of the hand-fashioned process.
