The ups and downs of these craggy surfaces. Bold, moody and imperfect. Raw faced Amethyst Hearts set mismatched in fine and sterling silver and then oxidized. One stud, One dangle.

These earrings have been oxidized using a time consuming non-toxic method, one that offers not a uniform, but varying degrees of dark and smoky hues. I strive to create my oxidized pieces to come as close as possible to looking as if they were truly oxidized over a long period of time.

This is handmade and one of a kind. I have created this in an eco-friendly manner — from hand with no harsh jewelers chemicals and no power tools. 

The old fashioned way, using recycled silver.

Thus, it has taken me a considerable amount of time compared to using other modern jewelry techniques. Therefore, file marks, as well as asymmetries are all part of the hand-fashioned process.
