Archipelago — A Montana Agate Necklace in Sterling Silver

A uniquely cut and sporadically patterned Montana Agate…. Like islands dotted in a haphazard pattern. Hence the name for this piece.

This stone has been wrapped in fine silver and set on sterling. Sterling silver bars flank the sides of the stone to provide a point of hanging this piece. 

A 17 inch sterling silver paper clip style chain finishes with an oblong lobster clasp in the back.

The stone measures 1.45 inches long by 0.7 inches tall.

This piece is handmade and one of a kind. I have created this entire piece in an eco-friendly manner — from hand with no harsh jewelers chemicals and no power tools.
The old fashioned way.
Thus, it has taken me a considerable amount of time compared to using other modern jewelry techniques. Therefore, file marks, as well as asymmetries are all part of the hand-fashioned process.

Please do not submerge this pendant in liquid, as it will form a cloudiness behind the stone over time.
