Another bold and beautiful natural blue opalized wood, petrified for millennia. It’s difficult to imagine this here was once part of an ancient tree.
The ancient veining in this petrified tree offers deep indigo hued striations. Wrapped in fine silver, and set on sterling silver. The wire wrapped style band gives a modern flare.
This ring was then oxidized for contrast. Please note because I use an environmentally friendly, and old style of oxidation, the dark oxidation colors may and will be uneven. Rather than a solid color, many deep colors come out in this process such as cobalt blues, deep purples and stormy grays. — All another benefit of using non-harsh patina techniques, you get a true oxidization effect.
Measurements:
Ring Face Width — 0.6 inches
Ring Face Height — 0.65 inches
Best suited for Ring Size — 6
As a reminder, please no submerging my jewelry in liquids, as refraining from doing so will prolong the silvers’ luster, and prevent moisture from gathering behind the stone over time.
This is handmade and one of a kind. I have created this in an eco-friendly manner — from hand with no harsh jewelers chemicals and no power tools.
The old fashioned way, using recycled silver.
Thus, it has taken me a considerable amount of time compared to using other modern jewelry techniques. Therefore, file marks, as well as asymmetries are all part of the hand-fashioned process.
** PLEASE NOTE: I can not make changes to sizing or oxidation preferences once a piece is complete; I am not set up to do so. How my items show here is the final product. Because of my power tool-free ways, and lack of traditional jewelers chemicals in my process, this piece is sold as you see it here. **
