Beyond the Hillside — A Dendritic Agate Pendant Necklace in Sterling Silver

Little Miniature Scenic Stories in these amazing Dendritic Agate stones. This one, wrapped in a fine silver bezel and set on a sterling silver backplate. Behind the stone peeks through a hand etched full moon, on a naturally oxidized background.

This piece was oxidized using a traditional, time consuming, non-chemical method bringing forth natural deep and smoky oxidization colors. 

The face of the pendant is about 1 inch tall including the bail, by about 0.9 inches wide. It hangs from an 19 inch shiny sterling rolo cable chain and fastens with a sterling toggle clasp in the back. — Please note the chain on this pendant is not removable, as it is fixed to the bail. 

This piece is handmade and one of a kind. I have created this in an eco-friendly manner using recycled silver — from hand with no harsh jewelers chemicals and no power tools.

Thus, it has taken me a considerable amount of time compared to using other modern jewelry techniques. Therefore, file marks, as well as asymmetries are all part of the hand-fashioned process.

Do not submerge this necklace in liquid, as a haziness will form over time behind the stone.
